Jennybean, LLC

There is a treasure of a little kids' store in Downtown Lancaster. It is tucked away in a little mall between Queen St & Market St (it's the mall where the bead store is on Queen).  If you go through the main doors, keep walking...walking....walking all the way back the hallway to find a little gem of Lancaster, Jennybean! (you can also get there off Market Street...if walking onto Market from Orange, there are red stairs that ascend to Jennybean's front door)

Jennybean is an adorable little store that supports local artists and designers as well as carries a great Melissa & Doug selection! LoveLeigh Expressions is also featured in this store (self plug).

Inside you can find the CUTEST items from paintings, clothing, accessories, games and Nursing Bundles & soon LoveLeigh Stationery (another shameless self plug). There are also custom items available and a selection of whimsical decorations for that special little party you may be planning in the near future.

There are toys and books to keep your children occupied as you browse the great selections. On the weekends there is Story Time on Friday afternoons, and Craft Days on Saturday afternoons. This makes for a great treat for all of our well behaved children who have just been so patient while shopping at Central Market!

I have always been an advocate for shopping local, but this is one of my favorite places! Jennifer Ackerman (store owner) has done an amazing job with the store, and the selection continues to grow. My children love to play with their favorite toy, the antique rocking horse (which they love to adorn with the hair accessories).

The store is SUPER CUTE, the selection is GREAT, and it is a testament of the Amazing and Talented people that create such a wonderful downtown shopping experience.

Keyuties Inspiration

A few years ago, my cousin, Aya, came to visit from Japan. She stayed for a year and while here, she made some really amazing things. My entire family is extremely talented, from sewing, woodworking, bonsai, to handcrafting (not to forget, some amazing cooks as well).

I had always collected keychains, especially on trips abroad. My favorite place to collect (to this day) is  Japan. The variety is astounding! Anything you can think of, I am sure, you can find in keychain form. I mentioned my cousin earlier to show you my inspiration for what I now call Keyuties. She made the cutest little bear for me (which as you can see in photo below has been with me a while, and has since suffered a foot amputation).

It wasn't until just recently that I thought I would try my hand at making my own keychains, which has since developed into the Keyuties Collection. My collection ranges from random animals, holiday specials, NEW Owls, and some inspired by my favorite Sanrio characters. Each one is handmade, and therefore differs ever so slightly from any other. Each piece is sewn on, no glue is used.

I am always up for a challenge. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to comment below.
